What to expect:
This society is designed for medical students with a special interest in orthopedic surgery. In regular meetings students will have the opportunity to exchange on new research topics, surgical techniques, discuss clinical cases and share experiences.

Our successful surgical student society program is going into another round! Applications are now open for the new academical year 2025/2026! Would you like to be a part of the next generation of future orthopedic surgeons? Do you have a great interest in orthopedic surgery? Then here's all the information you will need!
Regular Student Meetings
In regular meetings every other week starting from mid September 2025, you will exchange on orthopedic themes. Teaching on surgical techniques, new research and exchange of experience will take place in peer-to-peer teachings.
Interactive Courses with Orthopedic Surgeons
The Orthopedic Surgeon Students Society collaborates with the Universitätsklinik Balgrist. Interactive Courses will take place, where Orthopedic Surgeons will be invited to talk about their specializations. We are also looking forward to the clinical case discussions!
Surgery Assistant Pool
Higher year medical students will have the possibility to enroll into a surgical assistant pool at the Universitätsklinik Balgrist, in order to gain some experience in practical surgery!
