Our How to Become a Surgeon talk series invites senior surgeons from various specialties to share their career journeys, life experiences, and valuable tips in a relaxed and friendly environment. Each session is paired with an apero, offering students a chance to interact and learn in an informal setting.
YSSA ZH actively participate in key national congresses, such as the swimsa’s Swiss Medical Students Convention (SMSC), offering students exposure to the latest in medical innovation and networking opportunities. Additionally, YSSA ZH together with other YSSAs contributes to the annual Swiss College of Surgeons Congress, where we organize workshops that provide hands-on learning experiences in surgical techniques and practices.

YSSA Zürich @ SMSC
We represented YSSA Zürich at this semester’s SMSC!
This weekend, the University of Zurich hosted the Swiss Medical Students Convention. Of course, YSSA was also there! Together with the corresponding organizations in Lausanne, Basel and Ticino, we organized and successfully ran a suturing course on behalf of YSSA Switzerland. In addition, the 400 participants of the SMSC had the opportunity to learn more about YSSA Zürich at the project fair.
We are happy to be able to make more and more students aware of our suture courses and to share our enthusiasm for surgery!
